Japan 2025 - Day 2

So, it’s day 2 and I’ve already slacked and am posting this on day 7. So let’s go, here’s a super brief rundown of day 2.

Today’s main stop was Kyoto, and as we were based out of Osaka this was a pretty straight forward couple of train rides to Kyoto. Once there we walked and took some buses to Kiyomizu-dera, and the Seijan-ji temple. While there we walked down the main strip and got some croquettes for lunch, we got a pair of wagyu ones and a shrimp and a curry one to share, I thought they all were great, but the wagyu and curry stood out to me.

After washing those down with a beer we took a bus to kinkaku-ji or the golden pavilion (pictured below) this attraction was busy, but was worth the wait and the squish.

We accidentally went to the Hirano-jinja on the way back to the hotel and saw the lantern wall.

For dinner that night we decided to go to a conveyor belt sushi restroom in Dotonbori, with the plus of seeing the Glico man all lit up.

Mandatory group picture too of course for the end!
